I am very excited to be teaching music at Cambridge-Ellis. I have lived in Taiwan, California, and China before coming to Boston. Music has been a great part of my life ever since I was a child. I hope to share my music background with the children at CES. Outside of school, I like to explore new restaurants, cook, travel, and do yoga.

Growing up in New York gave me the opportunity to combine my love of creating art with my interest in art history. For the past 25 years, I have been involved in studio art and museum education in one way or another. I am currently the K-5 specialist at the Little School in North Reading, MA and have been a Gallery Instructor at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston since 2002. At the MFA, I specialize in giving tours to our youngest visitors, and am thrilled to able to create art with the youngest children in Cambridge-Ellis Monday Arts program.
B.A. Boston College
After receiving my education degree from Boston College I have worked with children for over 30 years in roles of both teacher and administrator. I have dabbled in other careers as well, from retail to real estate, but my love of children keeps drawing me back to the classroom. I also enjoy travel, playing tennis and watching sports, the beach and cooking for my husband and two daughters.

I have been working in the field of education for more than thirty years. I worked in the New York school system as both a teacher and art therapist before moving to the Boston area. After receiving my M.S. in Integrated Arts in Education, I have worked as both director and lead teacher. I am excited to be a part of the Monday Arts, where my love of art, music, dance and drama can be shared with young children. When not in the classroom I also love being with my family, our dog “Bruiser”, gardening, going to the beach, and attending Zumba classes.

Art is a passion of mine, which started at a young age. This led me to study Art Therapy at Lesley University. During undergraduate school, I began interning at Muckykids Art Studio in Cambridge, which has evolved into a career of over 5 years. Inspiring children and families to create art has been endlessly rewarding. This training helps inform my work and curriculum during Monday Arts at Cambridge Ellis. When not at Muckykids or Cambridge Ellis, I spend time helping at my fiancé’s restaurant, Commune Kitchen, or with our two cats, Anya and Noodle.
