M.Ed. Lesley University
Since completing my M.Ed from Lesley University in Integrated Teaching Through the Arts, I have always been passionate about the Reggio-Emilia inspired approach to teaching. At Cambridge Ellis, I am fortunate enough to be able to explore this teaching philosophy in my classroom. As an educator, I combine my two greatest joys- teaching young children and dance, on a daily basis. Outside of school, I am a Jazzercise instructor and competitive ballroom dancer.

I’ve been working with young children for most of my life: from babysitting, to working at a daycare in college, to finally earning my Master’s in Art Education. My passion finally led me here to CES. Teaching here allows me to really get creative with the children and staff, and create a rich, engaging classroom environment each day. It’s exciting to watch the kids make discoveries and guide them through the learning process on a day-to-day basis. Outside of school, I love to travel, read, and create my art.

With three decades of teaching experience in early childhood programs, I was impressed with the quality of care and professionalism that I observed when I came to CES. I knew it was a place where I could continue to grow as an educator. I love working with the four and five year olds as they explore and discover their world, and share their thoughts and insights. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and twin daughters. Together we bike, ski, hike and revel in nature.

I am thrilled and honored to be a part of the Cambridge-Ellis School community! I was born in Cambridge, raised in Indianapolis, and attended Providence College. I have had a passion for working with children for as long as I can recall. I recently lived in Denver, CO for a year, working as a Preschool/Kindergarten Teacher’s Assistant. While I enjoyed the Rocky Mountains and the views, I felt a strong pull to return to the ocean and the East Coast. I am glad to be here and I love a part of such an enriching and wonderful school community!
